Soundness is of the greatest importance and absolutely necessary for proper fulfillment of the Great Pyrenees' centuries old task of guarding sheep on the steep slopes of the Pyrenees Mountains.

Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) number for examination and certification for hips
of parents (and relatives if available). Ask your breeder for pictures of relatives or if
